June 4 marks the 100th anniversary of passage of the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. It took more than a year for the Amendment to be ratified by the states, allowing women to vote for the first time in the 1920 presidential election.

That was a pivotal moment in the fight for women’s rights. We’re at another of those moments now as women’s rights are under assault again. But the good news is we are more active and powerful than ever before and it starts with voting.

If you’re interested in learning more about what women went through to gain their enfranchisement, as well as the fight by African Americans, Native Americans, Latinos and young people to also get the vote, order a copy of my book One (Wo) Man, One Vote (https://store.bookbaby.com/book/One-Woman,-One-Vote) today!
